For the Love of The Midlands
The Palmetto Pulse was founded by Rebecca Butcher and Mike Skiff as a unique way to shine a light on what makes South Carolina & The Midlands a truly amazing place to live.
Rebecca was born and raised in The Midlands and has deep roots in our community. Mike grew up in Western Washington State and fell in love with The Palmetto State while stationed at Fort Jackson for 4 years as an Active Duty Army Officer.
Their families became very close as their friendship blossomed in the midst of unexpected, tragic, yet somehow beautiful circumstances.
